Personal Biography:

Joon has been practicing business immigration law since the late 1990s and has worked as an Attorney with well-established business immigration law firms in the San Francisco Bay area, as well as New York City and has provided services to Fortune 500 companies in the high technology arena (software, hardware, consulting) and other areas of the economy – retail, transportation, financial services, as well as to start ups and individuals. He is also a member of the of the American Immigration Lawyers Association .

Prior to working in the field of immigration law, Joon worked for a Washington, D.C. law firm specializing in federal regulatory practice and appellate litigation in the areas of communications, energy and transportation. He also interned for Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-NY) and worked on legislation to remove a funding restriction to restore The Hamilton Grange, the home of Alexander Hamilton.  Joon also worked for David N. Dinkins, the Manhattan Borough President and worked on the campaign to elect Dinkins as the first African-American Mayor of New York City.

Outside of immigration law, Joon enjoys the outdoors by backpacking in many of the National Parks throughout the west.  He is also an avid sports fan, especially baseball and football and enjoys playing softball and, when possible baseball in recreational leagues.
